Gifts for Him

The part of shopping that is genuinely hard.

No guessing what he already owns. No conversation about stone quality unless he wants one. Everything here is something a man actually uses, across four very different price worlds.

The leather

Made in Maine by Rogue Industries and backed by their two-year warranty. Front pocket wallets in Horween bison, moose and Icelandic salmon leather, plus a traditional billfold, a dopp kit and a desk pad. Nothing here needs a size.

The silver

Navajo-made bolo ties by P. Yazzie, and the big statement rings: Nacozari, White Buffalo, Black Jack, Number 8 and Sonoran Mountain turquoise, all set large enough to be seen from across a room.

Every ring is a single piece in a single size, so check the size in the title before you buy. When one sells it is gone.

The buckles

Slab buckles starting at $46, medium through large, including one with a rope edge leather face. Each listing names the stone it is set with, because they are not all the same and I would rather you know than assume.

The hats

Merino wool, crushable wool felt and vegan suede, in cowboy, cattleman, rancher and fedora shapes. These I picked rather than made, and I will say so plainly. They are here because they sit next to the silver without fighting it. Sizing is on each listing.

From $42 to $710. Most of it outlasts the occasion it was bought for.
