Care & Repair

I want your pieces to look great for years. Here’s how to keep them that way.

Care Basics

  • Use a soft polishing cloth on silver only.
  • Keep turquoise away from dips, ultrasonic cleaners, and harsh chemicals.
  • Remove jewelry before swimming, cleaning, or applying heavy lotions.
  • Store pieces dry, ideally in separate pouches.

Why Turquoise Needs Extra Care

Natural turquoise is porous. It absorbs oils, lotions, and moisture, which can change the color over time. The good news: many collectors love the natural patina that develops with wear. Just keep it dry and away from chemicals.

Sterling Silver Tarnish

All sterling silver tarnishes naturally over time. A soft polishing cloth restores the shine. Avoid silver dips on pieces with turquoise — the chemicals damage the stone.

Resizing & Repairs

If you need resizing or a repair, message me at Hello@WildflowerArtisans.com. I’ll advise on options and timeline, or point you to a trusted bench jeweler if the work is outside what I handle.
