I should tell you why this is here, because it is not turquoise and it is not southwestern and I am not going to pretend otherwise.

We lived in Maine for a few years. It is one of those places that gets into you and does not leave. So when I came across a leather shop out of Standish, started by a guy who taught himself the craft because his wallet was hurting his back, still stitching everything in a workshop that runs on solar, I did not have to think about it very long.

Front pocket wallets in bison, moose and salmon leather, plus totes, a crossbody, a clutch, a dopp kit and a desk pad. Every piece is made in the United States and carries the maker's own two-year warranty.

Different craft, same standard. Made by people who put their name on it.
