Sebago Camp Leather Coaster Set of Four, Made in Maine
Deep burgundy leather, cork backed, water resistant.
Four matching rounds cut from water resistant top grain leather that is tanned in Maine, not just assembled there. The color is a true oxblood burgundy, darker and far more even than the moose set, and the surface is smooth rather than mottled. Cork on the back stops them skating across a table.
The details
- Set of four
- Water resistant top grain leather, tanned in Maine
- Cork backing
- 4 inches in diameter
- Made in Maine, U.S.A.
Two leathers, two looks
This is the matching set, the one that looks deliberate on a coffee table. The moose leather set is the opposite: four different hides, mottled, no two the same. Same maker, same cork backing, same 4 inch round.
Care
The top grain is water resistant, so a sweating glass is not a problem. Wipe it dry and leave it be.
Who made it
Not my work. Rogue Industries in Standish, Maine built these. They are in a turquoise shop because my family lived in Maine for years and it still means something to me, and because I would put their leather next to anything. See the rest of the leather goods.
