Heritage Moose Leather Billfold Wallet

For the man who has heard about front pocket wallets and is not interested.

Every other Rogue wallet I carry is built on their patented front-pocket curve. This one is not. It is a traditional billfold, the shape he already knows, in a much better material than whatever he is carrying now.

Four card slots that hold twelve cards, a full billfold and a stash pocket. Four and a half by three and a half inches, 2.8 ounces.

The leather

Genuine moose leather, and this is the same hide family that goes into baseball gloves. If you have ever handled a broken-in glove you already know the feel: soft, thick, a little grabby, and it takes a scuff without looking beaten up. It gets better with handling, which is the whole point of buying leather instead of something coated to stay new.

Who makes it

Rogue Industries, in Standish, Maine. Michael Lyons started it in 2007 because he was tired of sitting on a fat back-pocket wallet, taught himself leatherwork, and came out of it holding two patents on a front pocket shape. The workshop runs on solar.

I did not make this and I am not going to imply I did. What I can tell you is it is made in the United States by a shop that puts its own name on it and backs it for two years, which is the same standard I hold the turquoise to.
