Deep forest green, rust and cream, with bright blue and a little plum in the geometry. Fall in a blanket.

A dark green ground with the pattern stepping through it in bands and diamonds. It is the most seasonal blanket in the line, in the good way.

What it is made of

50% alpaca wool, 50% ultra-soft acrylic with recycled content. I am saying that up front because "alpaca blanket" gets thrown around loosely and you deserve to know what you are buying. The alpaca half brings warmth and softness, and the acrylic half makes it washable and hard to wreck. For the pure thing, the Royal throw is 100% baby alpaca and priced like it.

Details

  • About 90 by 78 inches, queen size
  • Reversible
  • Woven in Ecuador

Care: Machine wash cold on gentle with a mild detergent. No bleach, fabric softener or dryer. Lay flat or hang to dry. Some early pilling is normal for a blend, and a fabric shaver clears it.

Who makes it

Alpaca Threadz weaves the Andean line in Ecuador on looms about a hundred years old and says a portion of what you pay goes back to the weavers. I picked it rather than made it, and it ships from them. For turquoise to go with it: the turquoise jewelry. More in Blankets and Throws.
