One hundred percent baby alpaca in a soft check, in brown, cream, dark grey or light grey, with fringed ends. The pattern is subtle enough that from across the room it just reads as texture.
Same fiber as the solid Royal throw, same price, slightly more to look at.
What it is made of
100% baby alpaca. No blend, no filler, nothing hiding in the label.
Baby alpaca does not mean a baby animal. It is the first, finest shearing, taken from the neck and shoulders where the fiber is softest. It is warmer than sheep wool at half the weight, and it has no lanolin, so the people who break out in regular wool are usually fine in this. That is the whole reason it costs what it costs.

Where it comes from
Alpaca Threadz says this is made in Peru under fair trade terms, with a portion of proceeds going back to the Peruvian artisans who make it.
Care
Dry clean only. I know that is less convenient, and I would rather tell you now than have you find out from a tag after you have already run it through the wash. Between cleanings, air it out and use a soft brush on any pilling. Never iron it directly. A light steam is fine.
