White Buffalo Stone Ring in Sterling Silver, Size 6.5

Chalk-white stone, charcoal veining, sterling silver. This White Buffalo ring in size 6 1/2 has no color in it at all, and that is exactly why it goes with everything you own. It looks deliberate rather than loud, and it feels like the piece you reach for without thinking about it.

This stone came from our family's claim at the White Buffalo mine near Tonopah, Nevada. Joyce Benavidez and Jill Monfiletto of Cutting Edge Turquoise, our family lapidary, cut the cabochon and built the ring around it. The claim, the cutting bench, and the silver bench are all the same family operation, so we can tell you exactly where this stone came from and whose hands it passed through.

White Buffalo is not turquoise. It has no copper in it, which is why there is no blue. What you get instead is a white ground with dark veining that works as well with black as it does with denim.

Style and wear
It is sized and scaled to wear every day. Try it with a black turtleneck, a chambray shirt, or stacked next to a plain silver band or a turquoise ring when you want one spot of color beside it. On a smaller hand it reads as a statement ring. On a larger one it reads as a clean, minimal silver ring, which makes it an easy unisex choice.

Will it fit you

Care
Treat White Buffalo gently. Keep it away from lotion, perfume, sunscreen, and cleaning products, and take it off before washing your hands, showering, or swimming. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, and use a silver polishing cloth on the metal only, not the stone. Store it on its own in a dry pouch or box so harder pieces do not scratch it.
