Hair-on-hide with gold worked into it.
Brown and white hide with a scattered gold metallic finish, so it shifts depending on how the light hits it. It plays well with gold jewelry, which most western hat bands do not, and the slab keeps it from reading as purely dressy.
Fit
Band only, no hat included. It is 1.5 inches wide and 15 inches long, with about 100 inches of vegan leather lace, so you can wrap it several times or tie it once in back. It works on felt or straw and moves between hats whenever you feel like it. Made in Texas.
It also comes as a set with a felt hat in bone, black, tan or olive. Those sets are out of stock at the moment, so what you can buy today is the band on its own.
About the stone
The slab is dyed howlite, not turquoise. Howlite takes color beautifully, which is why it turns up in western leatherwork so often, and it costs a fraction of the real thing. It is the honest way to get the look on something you plan to wear hard. Slabs run roughly three quarters of an inch to an inch and a quarter and each one is cut by hand, so yours will not match the photo exactly.
