The routine

1. Spray onto the cloth, not onto the stone
2. Wipe the piece and dry it right away
3. Buff the metal with the polishing cloth, staying out of any darkened recesses
4. Return the polishing cloth to its bag

Two things to remember with turquoise

Never soak it and never put it in an ultrasonic cleaner. Porous stone holds water, and water sitting in a setting is what loosens stones. Wipe, then dry.
